SPUDS

Despite the rain, there is some planting going on here.  In this case, it's spuds.  There was a time, not long ago, when spuds were pretty inexpensive to buy, so we didn't bother growing any.  But I think it is definitely worth it these days, if you have the space:

    I agree spuds just seem different home grown.
    This year I have pink eyes, last year it was kiplers.
    but we get lots more frost then you "northerners" :)
