    Yes, indeed. I always visit The Labradors first home, meet the breeder, look over the other dogs and then mum and dad. I met Lorelai Gilmore's rellies, and Peri and Harki's too!! I like it that they want to look me over to make sure I will be a good human companion.

    Thanks for the good addvice I think we all need reminding from time to time, and there are some lovely dogs at the dogs home.

    Both my childhood dogs came from the RSPCA and were wonderful dogs and members of the family. When there's already many homeless and lovely dogs in the world, I couldn't bring myself to go to a breeder ever. Hate the thought of a dog as a status symbol. Our current dog Midget is a retired sheepdog - we're her third home after the farm where she grew up working and the interim home with a local farmer here who's a softie for dogs. She's got the most placid, wonderful nature and has won my heart for her patience and endurance with my children! It's an honour to give a dog like that a comfortable and loving home.
