OMG

I'm not a huge fan of chihuahuas, but when I picked this little fella up yesterday, he snuggled in to me like he'd known me forever, and at 9 years old, he deserves a bit of comfort and security.  It was hard to put him back in his cage, and I was very tempted to bring him home.  Look at those big scared eyes.  Come to think of it, I've met so many dogs at the Devonport Dog's Home that would make wonderful pets, I really can't see the value in buying from a breeder.  Re-use and re-cycle applies to pets as well maybe:

  1. You are so right. All our dogs have been rescue dogs and they are great.

  2. AAwwwww.....he is saying...take me home PULEEEZZZZEEEEEEE! so cute. I am a great believer in always getting dogs from the pet homes/dog pounds as they are so in need of some love and security.

  5. This little guy looks just like my little dog, but I have a female and she is only 1 year old. I was never fond of the breed myself until I got her, she is the most loving and loyal little dog i have ever had! We recently rescued our new family member Mr.Biggles a grey and whit cat from a shelter, they seem to be very grateful for getting a good home. I now take my children on regular visits to the shelter to spend time with the animals who need a cuddle!
