I embroidered this cushion years ago, and it's one of those projects I look back on, and wonder that I had the patience and eyesight to do it. All those tiny shadow-work stitches, on really fine voile fabric. And it took ages to finish. It came from Handmade magazine, 9-3 and was designed by Alison Snepp.

Haven't done anything like that since the '60's. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. I thought it was shadow work before I read the text. I made my mum two topiary trees in pots cushions with the same technique.
