We've been eating ours for a week now. We've been stewing them up too...delicious!!

ReplyDeleteyou temptress you... i love greengages too...we have been eating apricots ...we have a dual grafted tree ...one side has rippened ...now we await the other...it is just a small tree and i have to fight the birds off but we have had a nice feed and stewed some too for brakfast.. nothing like the fresh fruit straight form the tree i say

ReplyDeleteCarol, they are small green plums with firm flesh and very sweet flavour.
Oh oh oh and so do I! I used to LOVE my grandmas place because of her greengage tree. I still wonder if it is still there, They were the yummiest...
