A Lovely Afternoon

I spent a lovely afternoon yesterday, having lunch at Wild Cafe Restaurant in Penguin, which was delicious, then a few hours at my cousin's place in Ulverstone, watching a guy who trains horses all over the world, working on a young horse, using a patient, gentle technique which was lovely to see. He told us he's been bitten so many times by horses, but he's not been turned off by it, blaming previous owners, not the horse. No photos sadly, but these are my cousin's horses, Ruby and Echo:

It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the horse bolts! ~Nicholas Evans

  1. What a very pleasant Sunday, and Nicholas Evans certainly has a point.

  2. There's really a city called "Penguin"? Cool!!!
