Ruched Cushion Covers

I'm trying to sew up two cushion covers for my sister, that I've never done before. The back of the fabric is ruled up with a grid, then using strong thread, little stitches are made in a pattern, and pulled up into ruches. Not sure if the embossed satin should be interfaced first, it's very soft. Hopefully, it will look like the bottom picture. Has anyone ever made these?

  1. Haven't been as brave as you to attempt one of those, I just admire those of others. Thats a great help......

    1. I made that pattern years ago and have now lost the pattern. But I don't think the embossed satin will show up the pattern properly, its better with a plain fabric. They look fabulous finished and all back in vogue
