Some Practical Sewing

I finished a little bit of sewing at the weekend.  A practical carry bag for camping with waterproof lining and inside zip pockets.  It'll keep my camera etc safe and dry.  I went to the Spreyton Apple Festival on Sunday.  It was a nice day for it, but the breeze was a bit chilly.

Camping Mark II

Last week we went on our second camping trip.  This time it was at Cosy Corner about 12k away from St Helens, right on the beach.  The only facilities we had were drop toilets (I loathe them), and we had to cart our own water in.  But it was free, fires and dogs were allowed, the beach is beautiful and I like how the blue wrens come right up close.  The weather turned rough on Friday night, so we packed up in the rain Saturday morning to come home:

Camping

I enjoyed my first camping trip EVER at the weekend.  Crayfish Creek camp ground on the North West coast was a perfect place to go, and I hope it was the first of many trips to come, all over Tasmania.  The fact that I almost froze to death in the night hasn't put me off.
